Profile information: When you register, we collect your name or username, email address, date of birth (to verify you are 18+), gender, location, photos, and any other details you add to your profile, such as interests and preferences.
Messages and interactions: We store the messages you send to other members, as well as winks, favorites, and matches, so the service can function.
Usage and device data: We automatically collect basic technical data such as your device type, browser, IP address, and pages you visit, which helps us keep the service secure and running smoothly.
Payment data: If you buy a VIP or VIP+ subscription, payment is processed by our payment provider (PayPal). We do not store your full card or bank details on our servers.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and public profile.
- To show your profile to other members and suggest matches near you.
- To deliver messages, winks, and notifications between members.
- To process VIP/VIP+ subscriptions and prevent fraud.
- To keep the community safe, including moderating reported content and enforcing our Terms of Service.
- To improve the service and fix technical issues.
3. Your data is never sold
We never sell your personal information to advertisers, data brokers, or any third party. Your profile is visible to other Zencounter members as part of the dating service, but we do not share your private messages or contact details with anyone except as described below.
4. Who we share data with
- Other members: Your public profile (photos, username, age, location, bio) is visible to other members.
- Service providers: Our hosting provider (Hostinger) and payment provider (PayPal) process data on our behalf to run the site and take payments.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our members.
5. Cookies
We use cookies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not work without them.
6. Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile and messages are removed within 30 days, except where we must keep records for legal or safety reasons.
7. Your rights and deletion requests
You can view and edit most of your information in your profile settings at any time. You may also request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and personal data entirely.

8. Children’s privacy
Zencounter is strictly for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we will delete such accounts and data immediately upon discovery.
